Seven West Media
Seven West Media had a big year in sports after winning the sole Australian broadcasting rights to the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. From previous experience they knew a large portion of their audience was the weekday workforce – 9 to 5 office employees who liked to multitask at their desks while watching events. They wanted to create a web application that would optimise this audience’s experience and keep them engaged throughout the day.
I was brought on to work on the web app, which would serve as a platform for both upcoming games as well as any future broadcasted sports events. I worked with the development team to design a platform that was easy to customise no matter what the event, as well as design the themes for both upcoming games. Both games had large brand approval committees and each branded component was put through a rigorous approval process.
